Platform Agreement

STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS

(Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers)

Standard Terms and Conditions for Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers (“Service Providers) to be read in

conjunction with the Scope of Works and AGREED to prior to submitting a quote:


  1. The National Construction Code applies to this job. By agreeing to undertake the works, you will be taken to have read and agree to comply with the Construction Code and current building guidelines and to complete works to a level of quality and finish as outlined in the relevant Australian Standard.
  2. It is the responsibility of all Service Providers to ensure that all relevant Licenses and Insurances are current at the time of commencing works on site.
  3. The Site-Specific Risk Assessment must be completed prior to work commencement and be submitted with every invoice.
  4. The Service Providers are responsible for ensuring that the payment of all wages (including superannuation) of their workers are made prior to making any claims.
  5. It is the responsibility of all Service Providers to refer to and complete works utilising the most recent plans marked “Construction Plans" located in the Document Library.
  6. The instruction for works is only for the items / works as listed and at the price as agreed. Any additional works will require an additional instruction, an agreed price and an agreed variation prior to any variation works commencing. Please contact the Owner / Site Supervisor immediately (and prior to commencing work) if there are any discrepancies from your quote.
  7. All discrepancies and / or construction issues must be resolved with the Owner / Site Supervisor immediately and prior to any further works or the incurrence of any further costs.
  8. It is the responsibility of the Service Providers to immediately inform the Owner / Site Supervisor if any damage is made to the site or dwelling or if any pre-existing damages are noticed.
  9. Any fines or penalties imposed upon the Owner as a result of the Service Providers will be back charged to the responsible Service Providers.
  10. No drugs or alcohol to be on site at any time and no person under the influence of drugs or alcohol are permitted on site at any time.
  11. No animals are permitted on site at any time.
  12. All Service Providers are required to clean up after themselves and all construction waste must be put in the bins (or designated area/s) provided or a back charge cleaning penalty will apply.
  13. All Service providers will be responsible for the making good of any defects in the work regardless of whether final payment has been remitted or not.
  14. No Contractor may commence work onsite prior to 7.00am weekdays or 9.00am Saturdays, prior approval from the Owner / Site Supervisor required for Sunday and on public holidays. Local Statutory laws regarding work hours take precedence over these start times.
  15. Access to site is only permissible via in situ crossover and gates, access to adjoining property is not allowed without authorisation from the Owner / Site Supervisor.
  16. Permanent & Temporary site fences must not be removed, moved, damaged or altered in any way without authorisation and any such alteration will incur a back charge to the Service Providers.
  17. Gates must not impede pedestrian traffic and must be closed during site attendance (wired, zip tied or equivalent) and be locked prior to leaving the site. When applicable, the dwelling/s are to be secure prior to leaving the site.
  18. Where provided, silt barriers must not be relocated or tampered with. Any damage to siltation measures must be reported to the Owner / Site Supervisor immediately.
  19. All materials must be stored, secured and protected within the construction site.
  20. Equipment wash up and refuse must remain within the construction site and not enter drains, footpaths or roadways.
  21. It is the responsibility of all Service Providers to comply with Work, Health & Safety (WHS) and Environmental Protection legislation.
